Family Adventure Press Last updated: February 21, 2026

At Family Adventure Press, we use a few cookies and similar technologies to help our site work smoothly and understand how families like yours explore our free adventures, activity packs, and stories.

We keep things simple — we don’t use cookies for advertising, selling data, or showing you targeted ads. This notice explains what we use, why, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit. They help the site remember things (like form preferences) or collect anonymous info about how people use it.

We also use similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, in very limited ways.

What cookies do we use?

We only use the bare minimum:

  1. Strictly Necessary / Essential Cookies: These are required for the site to function properly. They don’t need your consent. Examples:
    • Remembering if you’ve dismissed notices or form statesBasic session management
(No specific third-party essential cookies beyond WordPress core.)
  2. Performance & Analytics Cookies: These help us see how visitors use the site (e.g., which adventure pages are popular) so we can make it better for families. Data is anonymized — we don’t track you personally.Jetpack Stats (by Automattic/WordPress.com): Collects anonymized page views, approximate location (country/region only), browser type, and referral source. IPs are anonymized. No personal identifiers linked to individuals.Purpose: Site improvement and basic analytics. DurationWe do not use:
    • Google Analytics
    • Facebook/Meta Pixel
    • Any advertising or retargeting cookies

No other categories (no marketing, no social sharing trackers unless you explicitly click a share button, which loads third-party scripts only then).

How we manage consent

  • Essential cookies run automatically (no consent needed — they’re required for basic site operation).
  • Analytics & functional cookies are only set after you give consent via our cookie banner (if implemented).
  • When you first visit, you’ll see a small banner at the bottom or top asking: “We use cookies to improve your experience and deliver free downloads. Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize?”
    • Accept → All non-essential cookies enabled
    • Reject → Only essential cookies; analytics blocked
    • Customize → Choose categories (if your banner plugin supports it)

You can change your mind at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer (or by contacting us).

How to control or delete cookies

  • Use our cookie banner/settings tool (recommended — easiest).
  • Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies:
    • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies
    • Firefox: Preferences > Privacy & Security > Cookies
    • Safari: Preferences > Privacy
    • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
  • For Jetpack Stats opt-out (global): Visit https://jetpack.com/support/cookies/ or use browser Do Not Track signals (though not all tools honor them).
  • Global opt-out tools (advertising networks — not applicable here, but good to know): YourAdChoices or Network Advertising Initiative.

Rejecting non-essential cookies won’t stop you from viewing adventures or downloading free packs — the site works fine!
